Margie Caisley Conservation Engineering Award

Fund established to award students with undergraduate experience in engineering or the sciences of Fisheries, Geology, Hydrology, or Watershed and Wildland sciences who are pursuing a graduate degree in Environmental Systems in the focus area of Environmental Resource Engineering at Cal Poly Humboldt. The award may be used by the selected recipient to support costs associated with thesis development, to provide equipment and travel funding for field research, and presenting thesis work at professional-level conferences or symposia through the post-graduation calendar year, including travel related costs. Marin Rod and Gun Club Scholarship

Fund established to award a full time graduate student in the College of Natural Resources & Sciences with a declared option and approved thesis proposal in Wildlife. Newly admitted students, both freshmen and transfers, will not be considered and should not apply for this scholarship. Preference is given to students with financial need, and residents of Marin County, California, and the United States (in that order).

Fund established to help support a graduate student in the Social Work department pursuing a degree with a public school based internship who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. College of Professional Studies (CPS)

Maris D. Benson Beginning Sculpture Award

Fund established to award Cal Poly Humboldt matriculating students (full-time or part-time) pursuing any major. Must be enrolled in or have completed a beginning sculpture class during the year of the award. College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences (CAHSS)

Maris D. Benson Beginning Sculpture Endowment

Endowment established to provide ongoing financial support for the Maris D. Benson Beginning Sculpture Award Fund, which awards Cal Poly Humboldt matriculating students (full-time or part-time) pursuing any major. Must be enrolled in or have completed a beginning sculpture class during the year of the award. College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences (CAHSS)

Mark B. Rhea Natural Resources Interpretation Scholarship Endowment

Endowment established in honor of Mark B. Rhea, a professor emeritus of soils and a retired chair of the Department of Natural Resources Planning and Interpretation at Cal Poly Humboldt, to provide ongoing financial support for the Mark B. Rhea Natural Resources Interpretation Scholarship, which awards upper division students or graduate students who are pursuing a baccalaureate or master’s degree (or option) with a major in the field of Environmental Education or Natural Resources Interpretation (or their successor degrees) If none, then it may be awarded to students with a major in other areas of environmental science management, including Natural Resources Recreation. Must have demonstrated interest in subject and willingness to participate in learning opportunities under direction of faculty member. College of Natural Resources & Sciences (CNRS)

Preference is given to students who demonstrate professional promise, are active in extracurricular activities, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
