Your gift to this fund will help support undergraduate student opportunities in the College of Natural Resources & Sciences (CNRS), such as supplies or stipends for research, multi-day field trips, materials for entrepreneurial and service projects that address real world problems, stipends for participation in high impact internships, fees and/or travel expenses to attend industry-specific leadership, professional development or diversity conference seminars and workshops, and support for international study and internships.
Endowment established to provide ongoing financial support for the Coast Guard Memorial Scholarship, which awards at least one full-time undergraduate or graduate Cal Poly Humboldt student annually with a minimum $1,000 scholarship who has served in the United States Coast Guard. If no eligible applicant has served in the US Coast Guard then second preference is for a recipient whose parents served in the US Coast Guard. If no eligible recipient meets the criteria for #1 or #2, the scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of a Humboldt County High School. The scholarship is renewable as long as the recipient is maintaining satisfactory academic progress.
