Your support is helping address some of the most challenging issues Humboldt is facing at this time.
We’re meeting this challenge together, providing funds for technology, food, housing, and healthcare. Your support is helping students stay in school, even through the unprecedented challenges they are facing.
As a Humboldt community, we may be distant for now, but we are close at heart always.
I was truly afraid that I wouldn’t have been able to continue my education before I received Student Adversity funds. With the money I was awarded, I have been able to sustain expenses essential to my life as a student and continue my education. Your generosity has made that possible, for me and for other students in need.” —Liz Hedlund, Psychology '22

In response to the pandemic, Humboldt’s priority has been doing all we can to protect the health and safety of the campus community as well as the broader community. We have also been focused on ensuring that students are able to progress toward earning their degrees, including transitioning to virtual instruction on March 26 through Spring 2021.

The purpose of the emergency support funds are to keep Humboldt students in school despite challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, wildfires or other emergencies.
Each fund is being allocated to students who present the greatest need at this time. Student Adversity Fund support goes to students who are facing circumstances that may otherwise prevent them from staying in school, and who have no other financial means of support. Oh SNAP! serves students who request support through food distribution or J-points. Overcoming Barriers to Health support is allocated by Humboldt Student Health & Wellbeing Services for students who need financial support to cover medical costs that would otherwise force them to drop out of school. The Student Success Scholarship funds are allocated to students who face gaps in their funding.
In addition to the emergency support funds, gifts to the Humboldt program or college of your choice continue to help during this time. Choose your impact here.
