Fund established in memory of William R. (Bill) Tanner--professor of history at Humboldt State University 1970 to 1999, founder of History Day, and author of “A View from the Hill: A history of Humboldt State University"--intended to promote and encourage students pursuing an undergraduate degree in History with a 2.75 or better GPA and demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to students who are residents of Humboldt County and freshmen. College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences (CAHSS)
