
Field-based learning, which is critical in preparing students for their careers by taking education beyond the classroom where they can apply their learning in a real-world setting.
Examples of field-based learning include our Wildlife Techniques 3-day field trip where students learn how to survey for wildlife in the field, as well as lab field trips for our ornithology, waterfowl and mammal management, and habitat courses where students get to observe wildlife in their natural habitats, providing opportunities to hone their identification skills and learn how to manage and conserve wildlife and their habitats.
