The Tom Wood Court Scholarship Endowment, named in honor of legendary Men’s Basketball Coach Tom Wood, is Cal Poly Humboldt’s first endowment supporting men’s and women’s basketball scholarships in perpetuity. Wood, one of Cal Poly Humboldt’s all-time great coaches, consistently set a high standard of excellence, but more important was his commitment to his student-athletes. Wood always conducted his program with the players' best interests in mind, academically, athletically, and personally. His incredible legacy is honored by having the basketball court inside Lumberjack Arena named “Tom Wood Court”.
