To be eligible, students must be a declared English major, have a GPA of 2.5 or above, demonstrate financial need (based on FAFSA application), and have at least one full-time semester of coursework left to complete in the major. James D. and Sara M. Turner Endowment
Endowment established to provide ongoing financial support for the James D. Sara M. Turner Sociology Scholarship, which awards a student pursuing a BA or MA in Sociology who demonstrates a dedication to social justice, teaching, or practicing Sociology with a major GPA of at least 3.25 (BA) or 3.75 (MA), completion of at least 15 hours (BA) or 9 hours (MA) of “SOC” coursework, and financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
