Endowment established in honor of Mark B. Rhea, a professor emeritus of soils and a retired chair of the Department of Natural Resources Planning and Interpretation at Cal Poly Humboldt, to provide ongoing financial support for the Mark B. Rhea Natural Resources Interpretation Scholarship, which awards upper division students or graduate students who are pursuing a baccalaureate or master’s degree (or option) with a major in the field of Environmental Education or Natural Resources Interpretation (or their successor degrees) If none, then it may be awarded to students with a major in other areas of environmental science management, including Natural Resources Recreation.
