Created to honor the memory of Dr. Paul Barnett Stratte (1916–1989), this fund pays tribute to a respected physician who devoted his career to improving the health and well-being of people throughout Northern California. A graduate of Rush Medical College in Chicago, Dr. Stratte completed his general surgery residency at Stanford University Medical School and his urology residency at the University of California, San Francisco. He moved to Redding in 1954, where he practiced urology for decades before retiring in Trinidad, Humboldt County.
Admired for his deep empathy and quiet professionalism, Dr. Stratte embodied the best of community medicine—bringing advanced, compassionate care to a region often underserved by the larger healthcare system.
This fund honors the enduring influence of his values—integrity, service, and a steadfast belief that every patient deserves access to quality care close to home.
